Malainin, Ibaan, Batangas City for people burdened by disasters and pandemics. The project’s funding, amounting to Php 12.77 million, came from the collaborative efforts of BPI employees, clients, and the BPI Foundation through the Bank’s fundraising initiative called #TaaLove: Sa Puso Magmumula ang Kanilang Pagbangon.

The facility will be built to withstand hazards in the locality and accommodate approximately 300 people.

Initially, the facility was intended to serve as a safe haven for those severely affected by the Taal Volcano eruption in 2020, and to prepare for future disasters, but the design has since been modified so that it can function as an alternative health care facility as well. The facility will be built to withstand hazards in the locality and accommodate approximately 300 people. When it is not being utilized for disasters or health care, the BPI Bayanihan Center will also be open for use to all citizens of Batangas for their community programs and activities.
